Our Louie's Place coffee bar had a lovely surprise international visit from family who'd driven the length of the country to see "Auntie Louie's Place".

With the weather turning colder, Eastlea Community Centre has become one of the many places which are now providing a “warm hub” – a safe, warm and friendly environment where everyone is welcome.

Visitors to Eastlea Community Centre are finding their route into the building is a lot easier thanks to new automatic doors.

School holiday activities at Eastlea Community Centre took a different turn this summer, thanks to Coronavirus and the lockdown.
Unable to hold children’s activities in the Centre because of the risk of spreading infection, we instead took the activities to families. It was a huge success, with 80 children aged one to 16 all over Seaham enjoying activity packs and lunches.

Unfortunately, the Coronavirus lockdown meant plans for a VE Day celebration at Eastlea Community Centre didn’t come to fruition. However, this didn’t stop us from celebrating along with the rest of the country by reminiscing and making our own displays for our homes.

At Eastlea Community Centre, we were delighted to be able to support the marvellous work Dawdon Youth and Community Centre is doing with its food bank.
