Register Your Interest - Sewing Workshop or Sew & Share Support Group

Dates and times will be confirmed once we have gathered interest on the most suitable days and times from those interested.

We recently published a Post on Facebook to gauge the level of interest in a sewing workshop at Eastlea Community Centre. There was an overwhelmingly high amount of interest which we were very pleased to see. We are now in a position to offer sewing workshops to our community and would like you to confirm your interest by completing the form below. We will then contact you directly with further information.

Not interested in attending a workshop but would like to meet with other sewers to share ideas and gain support?
Complete the form below selecting "I would be interested in attending a weekly Sew & Share Support Group..."

Workshop Information

Get to know your sewing machine
(Beginner Workshop - 2 Hours)

£20.00 Per Person

We have teamed up with Michelle Day, founder of Daydream Sewing & Crafts in Sunderland to provide workshops to those who would like to develop their sewing skills.

Initially, the Centre will host a 2 hour workshop for Beginners: Get to know your sewing machine which will guide you through the use of your sewing machine and the basic skills required to get started. The workshop will cost £20.00 per person and we would encourage you to bring your own sewing machine and fabric (Michelle will confirm the quantities of this).

Following this initial workshop there are further opportunities for progression and Michelle is happy to provide further workshops if the attendees are interested.

If you do not wish to attend the initial workshop but would be interested in others that are aimed at a higher skill level, please complete the form and we will contact you when these become available.

You can find out more about Michelle and her company on Facebook (@daydreamsewing).

Please note that we will require a 50% non-refundable booking fee when we contact you to confirm your registration onto any sewing course. The final 50% will be due on the day of the course

Sew & Share Support Group

If you do not wish to attend a workshop but would like the opportunity to meet with others who have a shared interest with sewing; then the Sew & Share Support Group is for you.

The group will meet each week to share creations, share support, team teach and sew together. It is a good opportunity to meet new people with a shared interest over a cuppa, a needle and some thread.

Only £2 per session.
